All our cells are made from the food we eat. Our diet can therefore have a major effect on our health, either supporting our body or hindering how it functions. What, how and when we eat can affect energy levels, digestion, hormones, stress levels, inflammation and many health conditions.
Nutritional therapy aims to address the underlying causes by looking at where the symptoms originated and what keeps them going. Biochemical tests sometimes help with this. Increasing or limiting particular foods or changing the way in which they are consumed can help bring the body back into balance. Specific supplements often aid this process. Advice is tailored to the individual client and is practical and effective. Sometimes small changes can make a big difference.
Prior to your consultation, you are asked to complete a questionnaire about your health, current diet and lifestyle. This includes a 3 day food diary. (To view/download the questionnaire, please go to www.nutr-health.co.uk/contact_us.html). During the consultation your questionnaire and health goals are discussed and possible underlying causes of your symptoms are explained. You will leave the consultation with an achievable personalised plan and an understanding of how it addresses your health concerns.

Most people find an initial consultation and either one or two follow-ups beneficial. However, many clients find one session sufficient; others prefer on-going support.
