I offer a warm and compassionate space for you to talk about whatever it is that may be troubling you.
I can help you to find new perspective as we explore the parts of yourself you least understand, and uncover your own innate ability to heal and transform your life.
As you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, what you want and how you relate to others, your emotional wounds transform into wisdom and your relationships deepen, the burdens of the past and worries for the future become lighter as you begin to live more freely and fully in the present.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help with:
- Relationship difficulties
- Life transitions
- Anxiety, stress and low self esteem
- Depression and sadness
- Bereavement, loss and grief
- Trauma and crisis
- Addiction and eating disorders
- Lack of motivation and purpose
- Desire for more creative expression
- Spiritual crisis and awakening
- A wish for more self-development
- Domestic and sexual abuse
- Sexual uncertainty
MY APPROACH
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a professional member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I hold an advanced diploma in counselling from the Institute of Psychosynthesis in partnership with Middlesex University.
Psychosynthesis is often described as a psychology with a soul because of its hopeful and holistic approach, blending psychotherapy and neuroscience with Western and Eastern mysticism and philosophy.
As well as addressing our past emotional traumas and understanding how our early experiences influence our behaviour in the present, Psychosynthesis also supports the blossoming of our potential for creativity and inspiration and accessing our own internal sources of strength and wisdom.
Alongside my private practice I work for the charity Trauma Breakthrough in Bath providing one to one psychotherapy, group work and psycho education courses. I’ve also worked with people affected by cancer and survivors of domestic violence.
NEXT STEPS
I offer a free, half hour introductory call to answer any questions you may have. If you would like to go further we will arrange an initial session to explore what brings you to therapy and how we could work together. I offer both short and open ended therapy and an affordable scale of hourly rates depending on circumstances. If you would like to continue the commitment is for one hour weekly sessions at a mutually agreed time and day.
